Rules
 
  1. ALL goats entered in the show must be registered with MSFGA and a copy of the MSFGA registration
    certificate
    must accompany the entry form.
    All goats must have a permanent ID that matches the Registration papers.

  2. No goat competing in the show may exceed the maximum allowed height for Bucks and Does as stated in the MSFGA Standard.

  3. Goats of any age may compete in MSFGA sanctioned shows.

  4. Master Champions may not enter regular division classes, but may enter and compete in the Best in Show class against the winning Grand Champions from the regular division classes.

  5. Substitutions will be allowed at Check-In within the same class at no additional charge.
  6. Show will start promptly at 9:00 AM
  7. Goats will be released immediately after the show.
  8. All goats entering California must have a health certificate. Scrapie rules apply. If you use microchips, you must furnish a reader. Tattoos must be legible. Scrapie tags are acceptable. You must bring an extra copy of your goat’s health certificate that will be retained by the show committee.
  9. All goats must be shown with collar. Any goats outside of stalls must have a collar. Bucks must be secure at all times.
  10. Show director reserves the right to split larger classes.
  11. Private treaty sales will be allowed after the show. All private treaty goats must be entered in the show
  12. Entry Fee: $10 per goat.
  13. This is a trophy, ribbon and points show. Any available awards will be announced at the show.
  14. Entries must be received no later than April 1, 2008.             
  15. Goats must be checked in by 8:00 AM on April 26, 2008.  All goats brought into the facility must be entered in the show with the exception of nursing kids.
  16. Any item that comes up that is not specifically covered by these rules will be decided by the show committee and their decision will be final.
  17. All goats upon arrival may be examined by show personal before being penned. Goats showing evidence of disease, particularly foot rot, sore mouth, abscesses, fungus will not be allowed to the barn or show.
  18. The organizers of this show and facility will not be liable for any loss, damages or accidents to animals, persons or property while participating in the show. Youth exhibitors are to be accompanied by a responsible adult.

    Livestock pens are available at no charge

    A limited number of horse stalls are available for $20.00 ea. To reserve a stall for this event please send a check made payable to Desert Empire Fair C/O Sue Johnson to 8301 Stagecoach Lane, Mojave Ca. 93501 and notify Sue @ 661-824-1516 when check is sent.

Feed & Bedding: Will be available for purchase at a reasonable price.
Wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels will be available for use.
